Oxygen Therapy

Hydrogen Peroxide - The Answer to Our Body's Cry for Oxygen

by Ingri Cassel

Due to the burning of fossil fuels and the reduction of our rain forests, the oxygen levels in our atmosphere have been depleted to the point that it is absolutely necessary to supplement our diets with oxygen products if we are to achieve vibrant health. Is has been demonstrated that less-than-adequate oxygenation of tissues and cells, a condition known as hypoxia, predisposes one to a number of degenerative illnesses such as circulatory problems, digestive disorders, and even cancer.

The use of hydrogen peroxide for acute infections such as the common cold and flu has been used successfully for many years. After all, the viruses and bacteria that are associated with these infections are anaerobic or thrive in tissue that lacks oxygen. By saturating our cells with oxygen, we eliminate the environment that these "bugs" breed in.

The following is excerpted from Sun Toads Health Newsletter:

In 1928 Richard Simmons, M.D. hypothesized that viruses associated with colds and influenza enter through the ear canal. His findings were dismissed by the medical community. According to Dr. Simmons, there is only one way that you can catch the two and that's via the ear canal; not through the eyes or nose or mouth as most have believed. Keeping your fingers out of your ears will greatly reduce your chances of catching them, but then again these viruses are microscopic, can be air-born and may land on or even in your ear. Once they have entered the inner-ear (middle-ear), there they begin their breeding process, and from there they have access to every avenue throughout our body.

In 1938 German researchers had great success using hydrogen peroxide in dealing with colds and the flu.

Their data has been ignored (maybe suppressed) for over 60 years.

For many years, people “in the know” have been treating the viruses associated with colds and the flu where they begin their breeding process in the inner-ear and not where they have already have spread to. For this treatment to be successful, it is important to begin treatment as soon as symptoms appear.

Practical applications

We have found remarkable results in recovering from the flu or a cold within 12 to 14 hours when administering a few drops of 3 percent Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) into each ear. The H2O2 starts working within two to three minutes. There will be some bubbling in the ear and, in some cases, mild stinging occurs. Wait until the bubbling and stinging subsides (usually 5 to 10 min) and then drain onto a tissue and repeat the process in the other ear. Adding extracts of echinacea and goldenseal, well known for their anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties, enhances the action of the hydrogen peroxide.

A bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide in 3 percent solution is available at any drug store for a couple of dollars. I prefer to buy the 35 percent food grade hydrogen peroxide from the health food store and have a separate container in which I have made a solution of 10 percent hydrogen peroxide and 90 percent water.

Another perspective

The following is from Bill Munro of Know Your Land Rights www.landrights.com  and land@landrights.com :

"I have been working with hydrogen peroxide for over five years. It is the most over looked, safe, effective and healthful product on earth. One morning while having coffee at the local coffee shop, a friend of mine came in with some new books. As I looked them over, I found he had a book called oxygen therapies. I asked if I could take it home and read it. He said he had just gotten it. I said I knew that but I will bring it back in a in day or two. I read the book thoroughly. That started me on hydrogen peroxide.

From then on it was just one success after another. I found hydrogen peroxide is good for more than just health. For four years I have used it almost exclusively in both my vegetable and flower gardens. I liked it because it is non petrochemical.

"I found some ways of taking hydrogen peroxide to be very cumbersome and expensive. I sat out to find an easy, inexpensive, quick and, convenient way to use it. I came to the conclusion that if it could be sprayed into my throat, it would go directly to my lungs and instantaneously into my bloodstream. At that time I was 69 years old. To get out of bed I would have to lay on my stomach. I used a nasal pump. As I inhaled I would squeeze the pump one time. I repeated this four times, four times a day for about a month. After that, I sprayed my throat as many times as I could in one deep inhale. I now inhale two times, three times a day. I use the three percent hydrogen peroxide right out of the bottle from the drugstore.

"I have found that I no longer have aching muscles. My muscles are now very flexible. My bursitis, sore gums and sore throat were quickly relieved, and many other things that I haven't thought of are gone. I am 76 years old and people judge me to be 60 to 65. Since I've been using peroxide I haven't been puffing for air as I work. I also have many friends who experienced great things from taking peroxide this way."

In the garden, too?

In another email Bill shared with me his success in applying H2O2 to his garden:

"I figured that by starting a plant out with no bad bugs, it should grow very well. First I just spread the plants with peroxide. That seemed to help but it did not do a thorough job. So the next year when I planted I went down to the hole where the plant was planted. I also sprayed the plants that year. Then I felt that if I soaked seeds in the peroxide, that may be even better. I planted a row of hybrid marigolds and on half of the row I soaked the plants with peroxide. The plants that were soaked grew taller and had bigger blossoms.

"The last growing season I planted potatoes, corn, squash and cucumbers. I soaked all those seeds for three hours. I used no other pesticides other than the peroxide as mist occasionally. The potato plants have a few bugs that a eat holes in the leaves but they were not detrimental to the plants. The potato flowers gave off seeds as big as sour cherries. That is the first time I ever realized that potatoes have seeds as well as buds.

"The garden grew well but I planted it too late in the season to give it full-growth. The corn had no worms in the ears so there were no bugs to destroy the corn and no birds to get to the worms. I planted six acorn squash seeds, and harvested about 42 squash. Most of them were bigger than normal. I gave them to several people who commented on how good they tasted."

Our modern lives and our modern environment does not provide ourselves (or our plants) with adequate amounts of pure oxygen. We are just now learning how oxygen deprivation over a lifetime can lead to the development of numerous diseases.

Combined with the toxic stress, emotional stress, physical trauma and infections, which further deplete our body's oxygen resources, we may literally be suffocating ourselves.

Hydrogen peroxide is an excellent way to satisfy our body's cry for oxygen.
