Autism increase  Study ploys  CDC  Disease incidence

Only the Most Functional Children Were Included in CDC’s Autism Study

Shelley Tzorfas explains the deep flaws in the CDC’s latest study on autism prevalence. Could the real rate be as high as 1 in 6 children damaged by vaccines?

The Centers for Disease Control recently announced that 1 in 88 children in the United States now have Autism. Many were shocked at the escalation of Autism in the last few years, but some of us were shocked for a different reason. It seems inadequate to make this claim. The issue is that this number was based on children who were born in the year 2000 and were looked at in the year 2008. It was based on children who were eight years old in 2008 and it was handed to us as a “new” and latest finding in the spring of 2012. Therefore it was four years old by the time they released the information.

To my understanding it was based on children who were well enough to function in public school. Many children who cannot speak or wash themselves are in private school for Autism or not in school at all. Some lucky children with classic autism are homeschooled, and the less fortunate ones are institutionalized. This study left those children out of the numbers.

As aware as some of us think we are, most do not realize that pregnant mothers have been routinely vaccinated to prevent the flu. That is like vaccinating a fetus. Flu shots contain mercury under the name of thimerosal. The children who were vaccinated while still in the fetus stage were specifically not included in the 1 in 88, and I personally anticipate a large escalation from that factor alone.

What happened to the days when a pregnant woman had to ask her doctor if she could take so much as an aspirin because it might affect the fetus? According to the CDC:

To prevent influenza and complications in pregnant women, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) in 2004 began recommending routine immunization of pregnant women with the flu shot of any stage of pregnancy.

They then claim that “Influenza Vaccine will protect pregnant women, their unborn babies, and protect the baby after birth.”

Autism affects many more boys than girls. The ratio is between 5:1 and 4:1, depending upon which study you choose to rely on. The 1 in 88 equates to approximately 1 in every 54 boys, boys who were eight years old in 2008, now around the age of 12, well enough to be in public school. Children who are now under the age of 12 were not included in the study, so the results of our excelerated vaccine schedule was not reflected. Children who are now under the age of 12 were not included in the study, so the results of our excelerated vaccine schedule were not reflected.

The Centers for Disease Control also found that the rate happens to be much higher in New Jersey. In New Jersey the number is 1 in every 49 children. This equates to approximately 1 in every 29 boys who are now 12 years old and well enough to be in public school.

I am from the “Peanut Butter and Jelly Generation.” We could eat peanuts and walk backwards at the same time. We had lights. Lots of lights attached to our 10 speed bikes. We rode out in the morning and came back at night using our bike mounted flashlights. We had Chicken-Pox, Measles, Mumps and no one in our community died from them. What we did NOT have was Autism. We had a few vaccines but did NOT get exposed to peanut by-products that have been added to vaccines since 1986, when the United States passed a law that says we can never sue vaccine makers in regular courts.

Consequently children went from a few vaccines to more than 70. Vaccine makers were awarded permanent immunity but children are not. Many children vaccinated with the Chicken-Pox shot get Chicken-Pox. Other sources claim that up to 81% of children who were vaccinated against Pertussis (Whooping Cough) get Whooping Cough anyway. There is a difference between vaccination and immunization. There are a variety of articles I can quote but in the Clinical Infectious Diseases Journal, the title begins with “Unexpectedly Limited Durability of Immunity Following Acellular Pertussis Vaccination in Pre-adolescence in a North American Outbreak.” Also in the news of Smithtown, Long Island, New York, 100% of the children with Whooping Cough were fully vaccinated against it several summers ago.

When “Peanut Butter and Jelly kids” got the Chicken-Pox, they were protected and immunized for life. When today’s children get vaccinated, it lasts for a few years then dissipates. Today’s children require Booster shots over and over again.

As I wrote previously on this subject in the summer of 2010 in “Childhood Has Become A Diagnosis Game,” featured on the cover of the online Marci Magazine, a child’s diagnosis of autism may depend on certain factors. A child in town “A” may receive a diagnosis of autism if the local public school has a good autism program. The same child with the same symptoms might be diagnosed with OCD, ODD, ADHD and numerous other conditions in order to avoid the term autism because the local public schools might only have a “Learning Disability class,” and not have a class for Autism. It seems that the doctors in the local districts tend to diagnose based on local school inquiries. I have seen children with co-morbid diagnoses and medicated Co-Morbidly.

I work with children 1-to-1 in sessions using art, teaching reading and writing. Working with kids who have ADHD, Autism and Dyslexia, I have seen quite a few misdiagnosed. When I get a new client, I might be told he is Autistic but might find no Autism, rather, Dyslexia and high anxiety. Sometimes I am told the child just needs help with the grammar and sentence structure but turns out to have Asperger’s syndrome or high functioning Autism.

There is one more issue that is missing regarding this 1 in 88 number. I think that children with Asperger’s Syndrome have been discounted because they are high functioning. They usually do not get special education services. Think of little Sheldon Cooper-type children as depicted in the show, “The Big Bang Theory.” If children are autistic enough to get special education services, then they probably do not have Asperger’s in the first place. They probably have a more classic form of Autism. All this talk about Autism having escalated because of better diagnosis and easier labeling ought to melt away once you realize what this supposed 1 in 88 might really mean.

I long for the good old days when children caught a little virus and got over it instead of today’s chronically ill children with Autism, ADHD, OCD, dangerous food allergies, diabetes, depression and whatever else is going around. I believe that the truer number of children with Autism will mimic more closely the 1 in 6 children in the United States who now have Developmental Disabilities.

Shelley has been working with special needs kids 1-to-1 for more than 25 years. She has created ways of reaching these children and cannot wait to share them in her upcoming book, “Recovering Autism, ADHD, and Special Needs.” Shelley feels that ill children have exponentially grown ever since our newborns started to receive 70 vaccines. She works holistically and will teach parents how to detox children, add therapies, and heal. You can do this!

Watch Shelley discuss the rise of autism and how these children can be helped dramatically:
