'Alien Counterintelligence speaks'

 

When the internet finally returned my messages for help after receiving the alien invasion threat, I knew that no-one was left to fight with me. The counteralien  unit had been well and truly countered. I could tell this because the following missive was constructed by a massive Artificial Intelligence beyond the average maildesk at even the National Security Agency.

 

It reads back to front, upside down, between the lines, across the lines, in fact it can be read in anyway.

Alas, any reading comes across the words 'condolences' and 'regret' somewhere therein nested.

The aliens were in there somewhere and this definitely proved it.

The final battle was still to come.

It rather looked like a 'word-salad' from a hebephrenic - but that fact was not any consolation.

Who or whatever had sent this was in business and had a good command of everybody's computers.

 

It appealed to one's sense of order and the ridiculous all at once - such promissary overtures that sounded so disappointed  at our lack of savouire faire were clearly not either genuine or impressed by our intelligence.

 

They hadn't hit us because they cannot.

We were still in business too.

Methinks I do detect a smidgeon of starwars here and it usually takes two to tango. We had held the desolation of unwhere, but we were going to fight our last battle somewhere else.

Frankly anywhere else would be good.

 

At some point, our true protectors will reveal themselves - we can only be safe and protected in the meantime and perhaps it's not too late to get a trip round the moon.

 

It reminded me of the old Scots joke on Frank Sinatra 'fly me to Dunoon ..' - well this was the war of the worlds as well as a war of words. Somebody likes our style eh ????
