Hello all, I just got a response from Dr. Turner from the note of thanks I sent him the other day. He included some links that I thought the entire board here would be interested in.

Chris

-------------- You may wish to take a look at some of our recent online postings at the electronic BMJ. Particularly the one on the existence problem.

We have a letter appearing in the next issue of the Int J STD and AIDS on the global variation in the Western blot test. You may wish to quizz the CDC about this when it appears. How is it possible for the antibody tests to be "extraordinarily accurate" yet a person posttive in NYC for example with two bands would not be positive in Sydney Australia. Or Africa.

The person to email is Dr. Marc Bulterys, MD, PhD mbulterys@cdc.gov but please wait until the letter appears in early June.

Kind regards,

VF Turner The Perth Group www.theperthgroup.com/aids
