As you can see, "Lyme disease" closely parallels the implementation of MTBE
in gasoline, in 1975, and elevation of MTBE levels in 1995.

MTBE critics believe that MTBE increases formaldehyde, ozone, and methyl

MTBE (11% to 15% of gasoline in NYC) is being banned now, the EPA advised
banning MTBE on July 31, 1999.
