"There was no word for 'autism' in the Somali language before immigrating to America. It didn't exist in their children. And now, they have the highest rate of 'autism' in the U.S. They knew measles, and now they know 'autism.' Anyone who knows both would most certainly choose measles. If this "outbreak" really is due to vaccine refusal? We need to stand up and thank the Somali community for having the courage to do what so many won't. They are protecting their children from genocide. That should come as no surprise. That's how they got here in the first place. They recognize genocide when they see it. Who can blame them for refusing to go through it again?" ~ Marcella Piper-Terry
Former UK Science Chief -- Vaccines Cause Autism: "What More Evidence is Needed?" "I have always thought since I first heard about the Somali children that this really proves the causal role of vaccines. The Amish children who have no vaccines have no autistic-like disorders and the Somali children who are newly exposed to aggressive vaccine programmes have exceptionally high levels! What more evidence is needed?"
[2011 Jan] Autism, Vaccination and Immigrants - Yet Another Clear Correlation by F. Edward Yazbak, MD, FAAP Autism and Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD) seem more common among young Somalis in Minnesota and among immigrant communities in several western countries. At least as late as 2003, Ethiopian-born immigrants to Israel had no recorded cases of autism. [That is correct: Not a single one!]
