I personally have had adverse reactions to both the MMR and the Tetanus shots. I had the last MMR shot in spring of 1993. Not only did the shot cause me to be sick, I developed rheumatism within a handful of months. Coincidence? I'm not totally convinced.

A few years ago, I had a tetanus booster. The doctor told me I was "overdue" and I didn't think anything of it at the time. My arm swelled up, turned red, and I ran a fever. Took me days to feel human again. Having read some real horror stories of very serious chronic illness from tetanus shots, I count myself blessed to have had such a "mild" reaction. I say "mild" because I was informed that my reaction was considered "mild and normal."

Also, my dogs have had various adverse reactions to different vaccinations, including potentially life-threatening reactions. Many of the health problems are chronic, and we continue to try to correct those with natural medicine and nutrition. We're seeing improvement, but it's a slow process.

We don't vaccinate people or pets here anymore, except the dogs for the rabies because of unscientific laws we can't find a legal way around. Unfortunately, that's the shot more dogs have reacted to than any other. Sad
