Thrombocytopenia purpura & vaccination   Deficiency of blood platelets

ITP resolves spontaneously only on rare occasions. In ITP, the autoantibodies are directed against platelets. Platelets are minute, disk-shaped components of the blood that are needed for prevention and control of bleeding. Platelets are formed in the bone marrow and are released into the blood. Platelets have a limited life span before they are replaced by new platelets. In ITP, the platelets are prematurely destroyed. In extreme cases, the spleen may have to be removed or a blood transfusion given.

[2009 Feb] How Important is Hepatitis B Vaccination at Birth? By Deanna Gromowski Ian was given his Hepatitis B vaccination on July 1st, 2007 even though he was fighting off the meconium, even though he had a fever ABOVE 100 degrees on June 30th, and even though he had a fever above 100 degrees the day of July 1st they STILL VACCINATED HIM...... Within 12 hours of his vaccination he had the rash, within 24 hours the severe thrombocytopenia set in, and then he was in a fatal state from then on.  NO DOCTORS, NURSES, STAFF would even consider the vaccination as the source.

Blood count abnormalities are a recognized feature of many viral infections and immunizations but little is known about the haematological effects of influenza vaccination. We report a 67-year-old patient who developed thrombocytopenia and severe neutropenia 3 weeks after she was vaccinated against influenza. The case led us to study prospectively the blood counts of 70 people aged over 65 before and after they received influenza vaccine. There were no significant changes in the levels of haemoglobin, neutrophils, monocytes, eosinophils or platelets after vaccination, but the total WBC counts (mean +/- SD, 6.86 +/- 1.52) and lymphocyte counts (1.69 +/- 0.61) were significantly lower at 4 weeks than at baseline (7.22 +/- 1.60 [P = 0.02] and 1.86 +/- 0.62 [P = 0.001] respectively) and in four subjects the lymphocyte count fell to below 0.7 x 10(9)/l. Since influenza vaccine does not contain live virus, its haematological effects presumably relate to the host immune response rather than to viral replication.

A CAUSAL ASSOCIATION BETWEEN MEASLES: mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine and idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) was confirmed using immunisation/hospital admission record linkage. The absolute risk within six weeks of immunisation was 1 in 22 300 doses, with two of every three cases occurring in the six week post-immunisation period being caused by MMR. Children with ITP before MMR had no vaccine associated recurrences.

My son Dylan (age 5 at the time) he is 9 now. Suffered a vaccine injury from the MMR vaccine-He got immune thrombocytopenic purpura. After 2 weeks in the hospital lots of tests/interventions and a plasma transfusion he was healthy enough to go home. He started showing signs of Autism soon after and was eventually diagnosed with Asperger's.--
