Whatever the cause, several people including a doctor had tried to investigate but had their attempts stopped. In one incident, a plan of the area mapping with pins the location of victims mysteriously disappeared from a local hospital without any explanation. Anonymous threats to families were reported to us as well as a few other incidents which made it clear that someone knew something about the causes of illnesses in the area.
